Incidents during the 2005 season.

The Club patrolled weekends including Christmas, New Year, Easter and Australia Day - a total of 61 days (524 hours). Patrols at Caloundra were maintained with low numbers at Bulcock Beach. The continued patrolling of the still waters of Caloundra between the Caloundra Bar and Golden Beach using rescue boats ensured a wide coverage of the area with small numbers.

The beach has changed dramatically over the season due to continuing erosion of the point and to re-distribution of the sand. From time to time, there are rocky areas exposed.

With the exception of occasions when a band aid is handed to a member of the public, all first aid cases are recorded. First aid can either be treated by the beach patrol or a member in the Club’s fully equipped and manned first aid room.
