The Beach is a white sand beach with little white water.

Beach Patrol

Patrols are conducted on Bulcock Beach, Caloundra. Bulcock Beach is located just inside the Caloundra Bar and is a favoured spot for families and the elderly; additionally groups often attend the beach (School groups and groups of people with special needs).

The bathing reserve is about 150m in length.

However, the area of responsibility of the club is much greater than the patrol area. The club is responsible for swimmers in and around beaches from the groyne at the southern end of Kings Beach to the most southern point of Golden Beach, Caloundra. This is the largest stretch of responsibility in the southern Sunshine coast area.

Practice rescue in Pumicestone Passage. The swift current can sweep the unwary swimmer many metres in just a few seconds.

Patrols are conducted on all weekend, and public holidays during the summer season with gazetted times from 10.00am to 4.00pm.

The main rescue equipment comprises the Inflatable Rescue Boats (IRB) and paddle boards, as shown above.
