Introducing the JK

Whilst the Unlimited has been available on the US market for some time, it only recently become available in Australia in 2007. The usual Jeep features are immediately visable, however the JK also has a hardtop.

This model Jeep come with a new 3.8ltr V6 engine, which whilst has been criticised by some, is much improved that the previous straight six. Fuel economy is down (I am currently averaging 14ltrs/100km, but that does vary depending on use).

Whilst the suspension travel is good, body roll or very little. Even sharp corners give very little 'learn'.

Overall body length is 4.75m and width is 1.9m.

Front on view, has good clearance and not too much hanging down underneath

Yeh just like in the add, I drove the JK to the top of the mountain

4WD Capability

So far I have taken the vehicle on the beach and mountain climbing (refer to the photo the the left), and the Jeep has performed admirably.

Modifications

The only modification I have done is replaced the middle interior light with a pull down video display. The Head Unit (DVD/radio) is able to produce video out, so I just conncted it up to the video screen, and I have in car DVD !
