Most courses are conducted for members, however some public courses are held
As the Club is a volunteer organisation, courses are conducted when instructors are available and sufficient participant numbers are available. Please contact the Clubs Chief Instructor or Club Captain for more details.

Love 2 Swim Previously known as Swim & Survive. Basic Water safety and swimming skills aimed for 6 to 13 years age No Free to Junior Members
Grey Medallion Aimed at mature persons, no prior Life Saving experience necessary. Yes $50
Patrol & Patrol Rescue Awards
Radio Operator Certificate Competancy in two way radio operations, for life saving use. Basic qualification for patrolling life savers, usually the first qualification undertaken. No $40
Operational First Aid To develop an acceptable standard of knowledge & skill for the management of emergency situations where people require First Aid treatment, acting as a Beach Lifesaver. Yes $150
Patrol Bronze Star Basic Life Saving Skills, aimed at 12 - 14 years age; with a focus on beach patrol perations. Basic qualification for a patrolling lifesaver. Yes $150
Patrol Bronze Medallion The Bronze Medallion teaches an understanding of the life saving principles. The Bronze Medallion has been operating for over 100 years with many Australians undertaking the program since commencement. The Bronze Medallion is considered the main life saving award in the community; with the Patrol Bronze Medalion tailored to beach patrol operations. Yes $150
Patrol Lifeguard For Patrolling members, an advanced life saving award which certifies a person as being a competant Patrol Member, and a Patrol Captain. No $150
Advanced Rescue Awards
Bronze Cross The Bronze Cross is a more advanced life saving rescue skills award. No $150
Award of Merit One of the highest 'life saving skill' based awards No $150
Inflatable Rescue Boat (IRB) Awards
Introduction to IRB & Safety Briefing Required introduction and safety briefing for the Inflatable Rescue Boat (IRB) prior to training No $20
IRB Crewman Certificates in competancy for Inflatable Rescue Boat (IRB) for Crew No $150
IRB Driver Certificates in competancy for Inflatable Rescue Boat (IRB) for Drivers. The participant is required to hold a Queensland Recreational Marine Drivers Licence. No $150

Note: (1) For active patrolling members of the Club, the Club may not charge members for Patrol & Rescue Awards, and IRB Awards.
